(a) Admissions are done by the Principal with the House Council in accordance with the Admission
Policy of the Institution.
(b) An Aptitude Test may be conducted at the discretion of the school authorities to ensure the
academic standard of the pupil seeking admission.
(c) Admissions are open to Standard JKG to IX and XI only.
(d) Students who fail in Std. X Public Examination will not be considered for admission in Std.
XI.
(a) pupils must be punctual to the school on every working day. Late comers should not enter the
class without the written permission of the Principal or the Teacher-in-charge.
(b) All applications for leave should be made in writing duly signed by the parent or legal guardian
of the pupil and should reach the Principal before the commencement of the class. Oral or phone
messages will not be accepted.
(c) Students of Std. X, XI & XII should meet the Principal along 35 with their parents for any leave
approval.
(d) Students of Std. VI – IX should get the sign in the leave form: Class Teacher for 1 day Asst.
Headmaster for 2 or 3 days leave. More than 3 consecutive days, the parent must meet the Principal
with the pupil. If Medical leave, Medical Certificate is to be submitted compulsorily.
(e) pupils, who attend the morning session, should themselves obtain prior permission if they intend
to absent themselves in the afternoon. The letter of the parent is necessary for such leave. If the
pupil falls ill during school hours, he will be allowed to call his parents with Principal’s
permission to leave the school accompanied by the parent.
(f) For any grave reason, if a pupil is absent without prior permission, on his return he must
submit a letter from his parent / legal guardian, stating the reason for his absence and obtain
permission before entering the class.
(g) A student absenting himself from school for 10 days in succession (including Saturday, Sunday
and holidays preceding / succeeding / during the period of absence) without permission will be
removed from the school.
(h) Absence on the Re-opening and Concluding days of a Term or after special holidays like Summer,
Michaelmas, Deepavalli, Christmas, Pongal etc. is strictly not allowed and the pupil is liable to
lose his place. In case of sickness the school authorities must be notified in time and a doctor’s
certificate should be produced without fail.
(i) If the student absents himself on exam days or cycle test days, the parent must meet the
Principal on the following day with the pupil.
(j) Absenting oneself for the sake of studying for examination is not permitted.
There are three Terminal Examinations and three Mid- Term tests in the course of the year. In addition, Cycle tests are 36 conducted every week for all classes. The minimum marks for am pass is 40% in all subjects.
(i) Books or paper of any kind is not allowed to be brought to the Examination Hall by the pupils and
nothing should be written on the question paper. Every pupil should have the required writing and
drawing materials and no lending or borrowing is permitted in the Examination Hall. Students should
bring only transparent pouches during Examinations. Students are not permitted to wear Smart Watch
to school. Ordinary analog watch is allowed.
(ii) Absolute silence is to be maintained in the Examination Hall. Pupils who make use of unfair
means during Examinations will be severely dealt with; even those who help others in any way to have
recourse to unfair means will be punished. Punishment will be to the extent of dismissal.
(iii) A student who is found copying or helping another student willbe awarded zero mark in that
particular subject. He will also be suspended from the school according to the discretion of the
Principal. If a student caught for malpractice for the second time he will be dismissed from the
school.
After the Mid-term tests and the Terminal Examinations, the scripts of the student will be sent to the parents through their wards for their perusal and signature and they should be returned within three days.P rogress Report showing the application of the pupils and their results will be given to the parents after the Mid-Term Tests and Terminal Examinations on the OPEN DAY. The students whose parents do not turn up for the OPEN DAY will not be permitted to class the following day.
Every pupil must take part in games and other activities unless declared physically unfit or exempted by the Principal. 37 Attendance at school functions like Parents’ Day, Annual Sports Day, Independence Day etc. is compulsory. Absentees may be fined or penalized. The students are forbidden to take part in any sports, tournaments, coaching, matches, etc. during the school hours without the permission of the Principal.
(a) The student’s behaviour should be courteous and virtuous at all times and in all places both
inside and outside the school campus.
(b) At the first bell for either session of the classes, all must move towards the place of assembly
and remain at the allotted place, in order and silence. A devout posture is expected from everyone
during prayer.
(c) In the classroom, place is allotted to each pupil by the class teacher and no one may change it
by himself. Likewise, no one may move from place to place or go out of the classroom, without proper
permission.
(d) In the absence of the teacher, the Class Leader immediately takes charge of the class and
reports the fact to the PRINCIPAL, with the help of the Assistant Leader.
(e) P upils are not permitted to remain inside the class room except during class hours.
(f) Every pupil must possess the School Diary which must be brought to the school daily. If anyone
loses it, he should get a written authorization from the Principal to buy a duplicate diary paying a
special fine for his carelessness.
(g) Collecting funds for any purpose without a written permission from the Principal is forbidden.
(h) Chewing gum is banned in the school premises.
(i) Dyeing of hair, wearing earrings, sporting a beard/French beard or any form of undesirable hair
style are strictly banned. Any student deliberately violating the rule will be suspended.
(j) Students are not allowed to drive a car or a motorcycle inside the school campus. 38
(k) Pupils are not allowed to talk to parents/visitors or to leave the school premises during the
school hours without the permission of the principal.
(l) Presentation of gifts either by pupils or parents to teachers is not permitted.
(a) Demonstration of any sort towards the teachers is not allowed without the permission of the
principal.
(m) Dangerous or harmful games and amusements are strictly forbidden.
(n) Pupils are not allowed to use the school address to receive letters, money orders, etc. or other
correspondence without special permission.
(o) Students should not bring electronic gadgets like mobile phone, camera, i-pod, memory stick,
laser lights, air pods, Bluetooth speakers and magazines to the school. If found it will be
confiscated and will not be returned and severe action will follow.
(p) Students are not allowed to bring whitener and marker to the school.
(q) Speaking English is compulsory in the school campus. Defaulters will be penalized.
(r) Students should strictly adhere to the rules and instructions given in the Labs/Library and
observe absolute silence and owe responsibility towards the property.
(s) The student involving in the following offensive conduct is liable to punishable acts:
1. Use of vulgar language and indecent behaviour.
2. Possession of materials of low moral values (books, pen drives etc.)
3. Joining other clubs, courses and institutions without the permission of the Principal.
4. Absenting on important school functions without prior permission and refusing to participate in
school programmes.
5. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, neglect of homework, disobedience and disrespect towards
members of the staff, maligning staff and others.
6. It is forbidden to write or scribble on the walls, desks etc., throw paper or ink in the class
room, or in any way damage the school property. Damage caused must be paid for at the discretion of
the Principal.
7. Action will be taken against the students for not wearing the school uniform, for not bringing
books to class, for not obtaining the signature of Parents on Remarks written by the teacher or on
the Absence or Late Record in the diary, for reason of indiscipline or for coming late. Inspite of
the good and meticulous care taken of the students by the School Staff members, the School cannot be
held responsible for accidents, minor or major to pupils during school hours or excursions.
(t) Any student involving in the following acts will be dismissed immediately from the school with
appropriate T.C. indicating the reason for his removal on that very day.
They are :
1. Physical violence – fighting with other students, causing serious injuries, etc.
Bringing alcohol and drugs (consuming it) smoking and other unhealthy practices that are punishable
under Legal and Educational rules
